Beef Cattle – Dept. 15
(Open to all recognized breeds)

New RuleAll Cattle must be entered online at http://ncadf.fairmanager.com by September 1, 2010. If an exhibitor does not have access to a computer, contact your County Extension Office or Vo-Ag Instructor. No late entries will be accepted after September 20, 2010 and a late fee will be charged.

Junior Crossbred Replacement Heifer Show
1. Crossbred replacement heifers are defined as any crossbred female or percentage female not eligible for a purebred show.

2. Animals must be born prior to March 15, 2009 and all animals must have baby teeth at time of show.

3. Classes will be divided by hip height and/or weight 

4. Commercial heifers will be divided into three (3) divisions: (1) American (2) English (3) Exotic.

5. Classes in each division will be determined after entries are in place to allow for uniform classes in each division.

Junior Market Steer Show
1. No bulls, stags, or horned steers may be exhibited.

2. Only steers of breeding beef parentage are eligible to show.

3. Classes will be divided by hip height and/or weight.

4. Classes in each division will be determined after entries are in place to allow for uniform classes in each division.

Junior Breeding Beef Show
1. An exhibitor can enter no more than two (2) animals per class.

2. Animals under six (6) months of age or over two (2) years of age cannot be entered in breeding beef classes.

3. All bulls nine (9) months of age or older must be shown with a nose ring (permanent or temporary).

Open Breeding Beef Show
1. The Open Breeding Beef Show is open to adult and junior exhibitors who reside in the counties in the  North
    Central District.

2. This show is limited to Breeding Beef only (registered animals).

3. There will be no commercial heifer, steer, or showmanship classes in the Open Breeding Beef Show.

4. Points are calculated as follows: 1st place – 40 pts; 2nd place – 35 pts; 3rd place – 30 pts; 4th place – 25 pts; 5th place – 20 pts; 6th place – 19 pts; 7th place – 18 pts; 8th place - 17 pts; 9th place – 16 pts; and 10th place – 15 pts.
